Career
Spence has been a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in both Stratford and London.

He wrote the so-called "dinner thrillers" The Strange Case of Hester Cilliers, The Strange Case of the Missing Phantom and The Strange Case of the Freudian Trip! and directed and/or performed in its productions.
