Alfred Edmund Marks
Alfred Edmund Marks was a South African-born auctioneer and amateur actor and was married to Lilian Agnes (Hirsch). She played a large part in the development of Braille in South Africa, taught it and transcribed books.
Contribution to South African Theatre
November 30, 1905: Starred as Luis, the Duke's assistant, in The Gondoliers staged at the Port Elizabeth Opera House.
