Biography
She has an MA from the University of Johannesburg and a D.Litt et Phil from the University of South Africa. Appointed as lecturer in literature, drama and film studies in the Department of English, Stellenbosch University.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Besides her teaching of 19th century South African literature transnational narratives, she was a researcher for the thirteen program television series South Africa: A Country Imagined, produced by Curious Pictures, Auckland Park, Johannesburg and presented by Johnny Clegg (initial screening started on 24th April 2010 at 21h00 on SABC2).
Her publications include articles and book chapters on South African performance, and a book-length biography of David Kramer (with David de Villiers, 2011).
