Biography
Fourth son of George Rex.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Frederick was apparently a friend of Andrew Geddes Bain, with whom (according to Binge, 1969, and the Rex family) he may have co-written a sketch in verse and prose called Kaatje Kekkelbek or Life Among the Hottentots, the first publically performed piece of dramatic writing in Afrikaans (Grahamstown 25 October 1838). (Some name Louis Henri Meurant as the co-author.)
