Tim was a student at the Rhodes University Drama Department.

As a student he had roles in The Collection, The Birthday Party and Decadence (2006).
Performances include Prodigal by Dani Marais and Lorraine Knox (National Arts Festival, 2006), Mouche (Kalk Bay Theatre, 2008), The Feather Collector, (2011).
