Referred to as a "character sketch", it was written for the Rederijkers by the Kimberly based author.

Performance history in South Africa
1872: Performed in Dutch by Aurora II in the Oddfellows' Hall on 5 November, 1872, with Een Bloedgetuie (N.N.) (The play was probably first done a little earlier in Kimberley by the Diggers' Aurora, since Hoogezand was the Kimberley association's Vice President.)
