The Miranda-Harper Company (or Miranda-Harper Opera Company) was the first professional opera company in the Cape.

It began as a group of independent professional singers in the 1860s, who gave normal and serious concerts, at times performing together. They gradually branched out become full opera company, the first such a company in the country.

From December 1868 to January 1869 a David Harper was back in SA with a new company, the Miranda-Harper Company. New concerts were performed during August 1869.
