Nwabisa Plaatjie (1994?-) is a theatremaker, producer and curator.

Biography

Nwabisa Plaatjie was born in Ugie, Eastern Cape, and studied at the University of Cape Town. Having completed a BA (HONs) in Theatre and Performance, she is currently busy with her masters degree in theatremaking there.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

According to an interview with Herschelle Benjamin, she is interested in "hybrid plays, interdisciplinary companies and visual arts", and writes works based on her own experiences and inspired by the world around her.

She is the curator and coordinator of the Baxter Theatre's Masambe Theatre.
