David Lytton (1927-). Expatriate South African novelist, poet, dramatist, actor and short-story writer.

Biography
Born in Cape Town, he emigrated to Britain in 1948, although his novels and some of his plays retained South African settings.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Plays include A Tale of Love, Alas; Mrs Adams, Mostly and Moses; Emergency Mark IV (all adaptations by himself of his own short stories) and Episodes of an Easter Rising.
During 1945 and 1946 he appeared on stage in Cape Town productions of The Pleasure Garden, Outward Bound and Hands Across the Sea.
