De Opkomst van het Huis Rothschild ("the rise of the house of Rothschild") is a Dutch three act tragedy by Theodoor van der Stempel.

The original text

Adapted for the stage (without female roles) for the Rederijkers circa 1860-70, based on the book by Louise Mühlbach (pseudonym for Clara Mundt). The play published in Kampen by Van der Hulst in 1869.

A Dutch performance by De Rederijkerskamer S. J. van den Bergh of Enkhuizen, Netherlands, is recorded on Monday 4 April 1870 (See Rederijkers Weekblad nummer 14,1870). The title is wrongly given as De Opkomt van het Huis Rothschild
