Christopehr Hope (born 1944). Journalist, poet, novelist and dramatist. His early novels include Separate Development and Kruger's Alp.

Biography
He was born in Johannesburg on 26 February 1944. Hope emigrated to England in 1975.
Training
Educated at the Universities of the Witwatersrand and Natal.
Career
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Author of the TV play Ducktails (1981) and Variations on the Offside Rule.
In 2007 he initiated the idea of the Franschhoek Literary Festival and became its first Director.
Awards, etc
He has been the recipient of various literary awards, particularly for his novels.
