La Musica is a play by French novelist, playwright, scriptwriter, essayist, and experimental filmmaker Marguerite Duras (1914-1996) [1].

Translations and adaptations
A film with the same title was directed by Duras in 1967.
The play was translated into Afrikaans and adapted as a television script by Stephan Bouwer in 1972, initially as an experimental piece for an SABC TV Course
The final TV script was published by Human and Rousseau in 1978.
Performance history in South Africa
1968: Presented by the University of Cape Town's University Dramatic Society at the Little Theatre in May, directed by Gay Morris.
