Apparently an original Dutch play, available in the 19th century, though the only reference to the play is found in F.C.L. Bosman (1928, p. 252). It may possibly have been a version of De gelukte list, of het huwelijk door spookerij (a play by an anonymous author, first published in 1785 - and featuring
