The Kokusai Revue was a revue produced by the Kokusai Theatre Asakusa ("Akasuka International Theater") from Tokyo.
The company
Formally known as the Shochiku Kageki Dan (SKD) when it was founded in 1928, the troupe was resident at, and the main attraction of, the famous Kokusai Theatre Asakusa ("Akasuka International Theater")[1] from Tokyo. They had become world famous for their appearance in the Marlon Brando film Sayonara (1958). The company ceased to exist with the closing of the theatre in 1982.

Performances in South Africa
They visited South Africa in 1973 (billed as the Kokusai Revue) under the auspices of Yango John, performing in Cape Town and at His Majesty’s Theatre Johannesburg, in October 1973. Their local managing agent was Sybil Summers and the publicist was Hazel Feldman.
