Robyn Sassen (1968-19**) is a freelance arts writer (visual and performing arts), reviewer, academic, book artist and printmaker.

Biography
Born on 4 September 1968 in Johannesburg, she has completed a BA (Fine Arts) at the University of the Witwatersrand (1989 – 1992), a BA (Hons) in the History of Art (University of South Africa, 1995 – 1999) and an MA (History of Art) at the University of the Witwatersrand (2001 – 2005)
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
A freelance academic and honorary research fellow at the Centre for the Creative Arts of Africa, University of the Witwatersrand, she has taught on an undergraduate level for the University of the Witwatersrand and served as external examiner for both the fine art and drama degrees, offered by the Wits School of the Arts.
As a freelance critic and reviewer she has written about various arts and cultural issues in a variety of journals, magazines and online publications, including Artslink (since 2001) Art South Africa (since 2004), Cue (since 2006), the Sunday Times (since 2007) and the South African Jewish Report.
Since April 2014 she has also been running her own arts-focused blog, known as My View by Robyn Sassen and other writers and subtitled The arts at large by Robyn Sassen and other writers at http://robynsassenmyview.wordpress.com
