The Society of Amateurs was a one-off gourp of performers, former members of Mr Cuerton's Company, who presented an evening's entertainment in the African Theatre, Cape Town, on 22 July as a benefit for Miss Delamore, whom Mr Cuerton had apparently left penniless in Cape Town when he left.
On the occasion they performed with Fortune's Frolic (Allingham) as an afterpiece .
