Les Corbeaux is a French play in four acts by Henry Becque (1837-1899) [1].
Contents
The original text
It is a gritty realist play about the exploitation of the defenceless by the greedy, and was first performed at the Comédie-Française on 14 September, 1882. It was also played at the Théâtre de l'Odéon on 3 November 1897.

Translated from the French into Afrikaans by H.L. Gonin as Die Aasvoëls.
Performance history in South Africa
1950: Performed as Die Aasvoëls by Volksteater in Pretoria.
