Acty Tang (19*-). Performer, choreographer and academic.

Biography

Acty grew up in Hong Kong and Johannesburg and trained at Rhodes University. He taught at Rhodes as a member of the First Physical Theatre Company. Productions include Chaste (2007),16 Kinds of Emptiness (NAF, 2006). He directed and choreographed ** The Silent Wail of Melisande (NAF, 2006).

Tang returned to Hong Kong in 2010 teaching at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and working with a variety of choreographers and performing artists.

In 2007, Tang was presented with the Standard Bank Young Artists Award for Dance.
