The PANSA Festival of Reading of New Writing is an annual festival of new writing begun in 2008 as a national project of PANSA (the Performing Arts Network of South Africa).
The project consists of a number of regional events which aim to encourage innovative new scriptwriting and generate original South African theatre works, to provide a platform for these works to reach the attention of theatre producers, and to work towards full-scale productions of the winning plays. The events take place annually in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
