Petronel Baard (19**-) is a professional singer, cabaret artist, writer and performer. Also known as Petronella Baard in some sources

Biography
Born in Riversdal, she studied drama at the University of Stellenbosch, completing a B.Dram Honours degree in cabaret and direction. In 2015 she completed Pan-African Cultural Entrepreneurship course, hosted by the African Arts Institute (AFAI) in collaboration with the Cape Craft and Design Institute.
Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, Media and Performance
In 1999 she won the ATKV Crescendo, and this set up a successful career as singer and cabaret artist, touring South Africa with over 15 000 shows in the last 15 years, trying to use her art as way of connecting people, artists, youth from all backgrounds.
She wrote and performed in a one-woman show entitled Petronel Baard - Lang Vrou
