Biography

Training

Career

She joined the Sibikwa Players in 1987 in Daveytown near Johannesburg, then she briefly worked with Township based bands at Mega Music Studios. In 1990 she performed as a puppeteer for the first time with the Handspring Puppet Company, subsequently becoming a fully professional puppeteer.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Her first stage role was in So Where To? for the Sibikwa Players at the Market Theatre in 1987. Performed as puppeteer in Starbright's at the Market Theatre in 1990. She played Ma Ubu in Ubu and the Truth Commission in 1997. Performed in Woyzeck in the Highveld (1993) and Faustus in Africa (1995) by William Kentridge and the Handspring Puppet Company.
