She graduated fron Wits in 1987 with a BA Dramatic Art.


Career

Lynsey began her career in 1976 a brigitta in the Brickhill/Burke production of The Sound of Music. As a child she appeared in numerous stage and television shows. Since graduating her career has followed a varied path ranging fromfilm, television commercials, to dance, cabaret and industrial launches.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Performed in The Sound of Music (as “Brigitta” in 1976 for PACT and in 1977 for Brickhill-Burke), The Archon (1979), The Wonderful World of Make Believe, Night of 100 Stars.

During her four years at Wits she devised, directed and choreographed a number of productions, most notably Laagerhythms for the 1986 Grahamstown Festival.

For NAPAC she has appeared in Singin' in the Rain; Joseph and the Amazing Techniocolor Dreamcoat for PACT, , assistant choreographer to Wally Green on Divorce me Darling for Wits; she played Aida in Playboys (1990) and Bebe in A Chorus Line (1992).

Work on film includes Reason to Die and Masque of the Red Death.
