Michael Bentine (1922-1996) [1] was an English actor and comedian. He started his acting career in 1940, and 1951 became a founding member of The Goons [2]. He came to South Africa in 1967 with George Black and Alfred Black’s touring production of Let Yourself Go, under the auspices of African Consolidated Theatres.
