Cedric Namedi Makepeace Phatudi (1912-1987) was a teacher, politician, translator and writer.
Born in [Lebowa*?], he trained at [Fort Hare?*]. Became Chief Minister of Lebowa in 1973. Besides writing novels, he translated of some Shakespeare plays into Northern Sotho [- e.g. Julius Caesar as Julease Sisare (1960) and Henry IV as Kgosi Henri IV (1973)]. Also wrote an original play[ Kgosi Mmutle III (1966)]. See NC Phatudi - SAME??***
