She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department under Prof Fred Engelen and Tine Balder in the 1960's.
Career
She joined PACOFS in 1965 and was a part-time lecturer at the University of the Free State.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she had roles in The House of Bernarda Alba, 'n Bruid in die Môre, Die Boesman Venus, Die Jakkalsstreke van Scapino, Agt Vroue and she was assistant director for Die Lewe wat ek jou Gegee Het.
As professional actress productions include Richard III (PACOFS), The Rashomon Gate, Die Soldateminnaars (1965), Moenie Praat Nie.
She translated or co-translated Op Hoop van Zegen entitled Op Hoop van Seën, Les Assassins Associés entitled Die Pantoffelmoordenaars and L’aigle à deux têtes entitled Die Dubbele Adelaar.
