The translator from the orignal English was Jan van Zyl.

Performance history in South Africa

By die Kuile was presented by K.A.T. in June 1950, directed by Jan van Zyl. In July of that year K.A.T. was awraded the FATSA prize for this play and Die Skarlaken Vesel.
