Die Dieper Reg ("the deeper right") is a 1938 Afrikaans allegorical play, written by N.P. van Wyk Louw for the Centenary of the Great Trek [1] (1830's-40's).

Performance history in South Africa
Commissioned and first performed by Volksteater in the Pretoria City Hall on 9 September 1938. Brilliantly repeated in conjunction with and the University of Pretoria and again directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl on 12 September 1941 in the same venue. Ludwig Binge (1969) refers to the latter production as the most important production of an original Afrikaans play up to 1950. First published Nasionale Pers Boekhandel 1939. Also published by Tafelberg.
Presented by Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch in 1964.
Performed by PACOFS under the direction of Margaretha Spies en Sophie Coetzee in the amphitheatre of the the Voortrekker monument in Winburg on 10 October 1968.
