The Cercle des Amis de la Langue Francaise("Circle of Friends of the French Language", CALAF) is an Argentinian association for the promotion of French culture and language[1].


In 1945 a French company of actors visiting the country under the auspices of the Cercle des Amis de la Langue Francaise, performed L'Avare in Cape Town, with Maurice Pinson as "Herpagon". Décor by André Salesse.
