Biography
A lieutenant in the Madras Cavalry, possibly in Cape Town on leave from India. He spent the year, then left for England due to ill-health.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He and Captain Frazer, as seniors, apparently led the revival of theatre by the Officers of the Garrison, under the banner name "All the World's a Stage", in 1807.
He acted as manager for the Officers of the Garrison for their first number of performances in the African Theatre in 1807.
