Tony Jay (1933–2006) [1] was a British actor and former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. He moved to South Africa in 1955 and became best known for the roles he played on Springbok Radio, including Red Kowalski in the popular radio series Taxi!. In the 1980's he moved to the United States, where he continued working as an actor, voice artist and singer. He died in Los Angeles in 2006.
