The original text

First performed in the Kaiserliche Königliche Private Theater, Vienna, 1776, and published in the same year, with the author given as "Franz I Fuss" and the text available from the Logenmeister, 1776.

Performed in the Churfürstl. Theater in München and published in 1777, the author now identified as Franz Fuss (or Franz Fuß, depending on the version).

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as De Snyder en Zyn Zoon (also known as De Snijder en Zijn Zoon = "The tailor and his son") by an unknown author and performed in Dordrecht in 1781(?). Published in Dordrecht, by Frederik Wanner, 1781 and later, in 1785, in Dordrecht by Abraham Blussé, "voor het tooneellievend genoodschap".
