His professional career started at the age of 9 when he played the newspaper vendor in District Six – The Musical.

He had roles in productions such as Remembering the Lux, Kat and the Kings. He did the choreography for and acted in Ghoema.

He won the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award in London for his performance in Kat and the Kings.
