Voices Made Night is an adaptation for the stage of selected short stories by the acclaimed Mozambican author Mia Couto.
Peformance history in South Africa
2000-2001: Directed by Mark Fleishman, movement director: Jennie Reznek. Slide design by Julia Clark, music by Jane Rademeyer, and performed by Gosekwang Poonyane, Rehane Abrahams, Mandla Mbothwe, Jane Rademeyer. Originally performed in 2000/2001, winning FNB Vita awards for Best Director, Best Actress and Best Lighting Design.
2012-2013: Repeated in 2012 -2013 with Jennie Reznek, Faniswa Yisa, Mfundo Tshazibane, Dann-Jacques Mouton, Thando Doni, Chiminae Ball and Richard September.
