Uhambo refers to two works: a musical play devised and written by Phyllis Klotz and Smal Ndaba (1997); and an opera-oratorio by Bongani Ndodana-Breen (1998).

A dynamic musical play that tells the bitter sweet story of a young boy growing up in South Africa in the 1950s.

Performance history in South Africa
1997: Presented by the Sibikwa Players on the Fringe at the Grahamstown Festival, directed by Phyllis Klotz and Smal Ndaba, with Smal Ndaba, Jim Ngxabashe, Simon Khumalo and three musicians. The same production was staged in the Pieter Roos Theatre at The Civic later in 1997.
2015: Performed by Sibikwa Arts Centre in the Arena Theatre at The State Theatre, directed by Smal Ndaba and Phyllis Klotz, 2–25 September 2015.
