Hélène Malan (1903-1992).

Biography

After having lived in Hout Bay, Cape Town, until the mid-1940s and in Worcester, she settled in Italy with her husband. After his death she spent a few years in South Africa but moved back to Italy where she died in 1992.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She was a member of the Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging. She directed Pels in 1935, a play written by her husband Jacques Malan.
