Geoffrey Antrobus (19**-) is an academic and a researcher in the economy of the arts.

Biography
Born ** he completed an MSc Agric (Natal), PhD (Rhodes). He began his academic career at Rhodes in 1972, and was appointed by the University of Fort Hare as Professor and Head of Agricultural Economics in 1983 and Academic Registrar in 1988, before returning to Rhodes in 1991, where he later became head of the Department of Economics and Dean of Social Science.
While at Rhodes University he has undertaken studies in the fields of Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics, Farm Labour and the Economic Impact of the Arts. (See the relevant arts and performance publications authored and co-authored by Prof Antrobus in the ESAT Bibliography).
