Biography
He was born in England. He settled in South Africa in 1948.
Youth
Training
He studied at the Webber-Douglas Drama School.
Career
He began his theatrical life backstage at the Festival Theatre in Cambridge, England. In South Africa he did broadcasting and worked in advertising until 1980.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He became well-known as leading man and producer with the original Brian Brooke Company. He had a role in The Dresser, played George Winter in 84 Charing Cross Road (1981), Stephano in The Tempest (1982).
Other productions include The Taming of the Shrew, French Without Tears, The Crescent Moon and Clutterbuck.
He produced Grand National Night.
