[[Lt Hansen]], A.B.G. (17**-18*) was a member of the British garrison in Cape Town, and an amateur actor and sometimes a "[[Director|director]]" for the [[Garrison Players]]. He and [[Lt Prescott]] are listed as the "Directors" for the first two performances in 1812, namely
 
Speed the Plough! and The Irishamn in London (6 July) and A Cure for the Heart Ache and The Jew and the Doctor (12 July). Presumeably he was also one of the players in some or all of these and following pieces.
