1986: Staged by PACT Drama, directed by Dieter Reible, featuring Clare Stopford (Sharon), James Borthwick (Alec), Graham Hopkins (Myer), Norman Coombes (Rabbi), Paul Jacobs (Charles), Lulu Strachan (Woman), Michael McCabe (Bill), Martin le Maitre (Jeffrey), Dale Cutts (Dr Sam Brenner), Francois Viljoen (André), Cas van Rensburg (Doctor), Adrian Steed (Interviewer), Mitzi Booysen (Annette), Francois Swart (Commentator), Peter Terry (David & Official), Shareen Swart (Christene), Eghard van der Hoven (Eric), Bruce Alexander (Frank), Siegfried Mynhardt (Old Man), Jacqui Singer (Angela), Ben Kruger (Vleis Swanepoel), Percy Pretorius (Lourens van Rensburg) and various extras as marathon runners.
