(19**-) Actor for stage, television and film, director, scriptwriter and lecturer. Raised in Cape Town, first trained and worked as a nurse, before studying for a B.Dram degree at the at the [[Drama Department, University of Stellenbosch]], where he became a lecturer in 199*-2003. In 2003 he left teaching to follow a free-lance career. ** Returned to University teaching at Stellenbosch in 2010. Among his most notable performances have been the lead in Brecht's ‘’[[Baal]]’’ in the Brecht Centenary year for the University of Stellenbosch, a version of ‘’[[A Report to the Academy]]’’ (**) Grahamstown Festival 1999?),  ‘’[[Roadkill/Padkos]]’’ ([[Malan Steyn]]) and ‘’[[Rooikôppetjie]]’’ **??
