Klein Libertas Teater is a small theatre venue, created in an old barn belonging to the homestead Libertas in Stellenbosch.
Also known as the Klein Libertasteater, Klein Libertas Theatre, Little Libertas Theatre or Klein Libertas iThiyatha [1] is a section 21 company (registration number 2007/017484/08) that grew out of the amateur theatre club Libertas Theatre Club/Libertas Teaterklub in Stellenbosch.

Founding and early history
In 2007 the Libertas Theatre Club/Libertas Teaterklub in Stellenbosch became a section 21 company and it was renamed the Klein Libertas Teater or Klein Libertas Theatre or Klein Libertas iThiyatha. What used to be only an amateur theatre club now became a company also doing community projects, informal training and professional theatre productions. It is a registered production company and it produces three to five professional productions every year, staged in the Klein Libertas Teater and also performing at arts festivals around the country.

Over the years the club published a newsletter (Ad Lib) in the years 19**-19**, under the editorship of ***?? This was revived in 1998 under the editorship of Gaerin Hauptfleisch.
