The original text
The authors received the Amstel Playwright of the Year Award in 1985 for this play. Workshopped and presented at the Market Theatre in 1983. Published in Kani (ed): More Market Plays (Ad Donker) 1996.

Performance history in South Africa
Feb 1988: - Directed by Robert Whitehead. Cast : Vanessa Cooke, Kurt Egelhof, John Kani, Danny Keogh, Eric Nobbs, Albert Maritz, Peter Turnstall, Robert Whitehead at the Market Theatre.
A film version of the play was directed by Manie van Rensburg and released in 1990. John Kani, Vanessa Cooke, Graham Hopkins, Robert Whitehead, Eric Nobbs and Kurt Egelhof starred in the film.(Business Day, 15 May 1990).
