Adapted for the stage by Ian Russouw and Tjaart Potgieter respectively. Full-length (short). Cast: mixed.**
Performance history in South Africa
1978 - Staged by the CAPAB Youth Theatre Company, directed by Johan Botha and a cast consisting of Iza Trengove, Maria Schoeman, Jonathan Rands, Marthinus Basson, Fiona Stuart-White, Murray Steyn and Neil Henderson.
1993: In 1993 TRUK Toneel presented the version by Tjaart Potgieter under his direction, assisted by Johann Knobel. Design by Chris van den Berg, lighting by Paul Pamboukian. Irish translations by Edward Kelly. The cast: Hannes Muller, Louis van Niekerk, Bill Curry, Wilmien Rossouw, Ronel Kriel, Monique Vienings, all portraying several characters, and introducing Nico van Zyl as David.
