Published by Human & Rousseau, 1966. The novel was awarded the Hertzog Prize for prose in 1970.

Adapted for the stage by Ian Russouw and Tjaart Potgieter respectively. Full-length (short). Cast: mixed.**

Performance history in South Africa

1978 - Staged by the CAPAB Youth Theatre Company, directed by Johan Botha and a cast consisting of Iza Trengove, Maria Schoeman, Jonathan Rands, Marthinus Basson, Fiona Stuart-White, Murray Steyn and Neil Henderson.
