The Grapes of Wrath [1] is a novel written by American author John Steinbeck [2], published in 1939.
Translations and adaptations
Performance history in South Africa
1986: Staged by PACT Drama under the direction of Terrence Shank at the Alexander Theatre in Johannesburg and at the Pretoria State Theatre. The designers were Shank and Derek Swanepoel, lighting was by Stan Knight and the costume co-ordinator was Bronwen Lovegrove. In the cast were Erica Rogers, Michael McCabe, Sean Taylor, Bruce Alexander, Susan Danford, Dale Cutts and Martin le Maitre as The Family. The Others were James Borthwick, Anthony James, Gina Benjamin, Graham Hopkins, Alan Ashby, Anne Curteis and Alan Swerdlow.
