Talk of the Devil. A portrait of Lucifer with some Lesser Demons and an occasional glimpse into Hell. Devised by Michael Atkinson from a well-chosen selection of material about the devil drawn from Egyptian folklore, The Bible, Paradise Lost, Dr Faustus. medieval mystery plays, etc.
Performance history in South Africa
1971: CAPAB, performed at the Libertas Theatre, 1971. Stage manager Paddy Canavan, lighting by Johan Stockenström.
1982: Presented by Michael Atkinson at the Grahamstown Festival, 1982; Baxter Theatre, 2000. Designs by Brian Collins.
