A one-act play by William Branford, based on Peter Abrahams's 1946 novel of the same name.
Performances
Performed by the Durban Medical Students' Group from 20 to 23 April, 1955.

Mine Boy The musical
The play
A musical adaptation of Peter Abrahams's novel, Mine Boy by by Roel Twijnstra and Jerry Pooe.
Performances
The adaptation, directed by Roel Twijnstra and Jerry Pooe , was produced in 2014 by Eager Artists (the resident company of the Wushwini Arts and Heritage Centre) and The Stable Theatre, with choreography by Sphiso Majola and the cast. Design and video projections are by Doung Jahangeer, photographs by Dean Hutton.
The musical opened 20 June 2014 in the Stable Theatre, Durban, followed by a run at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, before going on a national tour.
