Biography
Born and raised in Johannesburg,
She studied drama at the University of Cape Town under Robert Mohr and Mavis Taylor, her studies including costume design, stage management and make up. She graduated in 1978 with a Performer's Diploma in Speech and Drama.
Having joined CAPAB for two years (1979-1980), she returned to Johannesburg to become a free-lance actor and theatre-maker.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As student she had roles in The Taming of the Shrew (Kate), Poor Bitos (Victoire) and Charlie's Aunt (Kitty).
Productions with CAPAB included Death of a Salesman, The Government Inspector, Faust and many schools' programmes.
Plays since then include The Crucible, Seer in the Suburbs, Aladdin, The Night of the Iguana and The Tempest, Miscarriage of Murder (1986), The Anastasia File, You Fool, How Can the Sky Fall?, Pleasure and Repentance.
She has also appeared in film, TV and radio productions. Films include Rage to Kill (1987), Deadly Passion (1985) and The Tattoo Chase (1989).
