Nomsa was married to Matsemela Manaka.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She did the choreography for Wole Soyinka’s Death and the King’s Horseman in 1992, Daughters of Nebo: An African Opera and Mandla Langa's Milestones (musical) in 1999.
In 2004 she produced Goree at the Barney Simon Theatre, Market Theatre, as a tribute to her late husband.
