(“An Esau”) by J.F.W. Grosskopf. Bosveld-Drama in Vier Tonele ("Bushveld drama in four scenes"). An Afrikaans play about the aftermath of the 1914 rebellion in South Africa.
The author conceived the idea in 1914, and wrote the final version of the play in Bloemfontein in 1919. Published in 1920 by Nasionale Pers, with illustrations by J.H. Pierneef and Erich Mayer.
